A Dog Party
Martha was turning 8 and wanted an animation party with the theme being dogs. The children were asked to think of some characteristics of dogs and brainstorm lots of words. From these words they picked three and drew a picture of the character built for their dog. The idea was to put their dog character into a human situation so the girls each thought of something they could be doing. We had furry fabrics fuzzy felts and hairy material that the children could create their character with. When the dogs were made the girls made a collaged background in groups and animated their doggy stories each with roles, one as the animator one the director and one the cameraman. The films were edited together and DVDs were sent to each of the children.
