 Shoreditch Festival 

This was community festival developed and funded by the Shoreditch Trust, which ran alongside Regents canal and across Shoreditch. We ran a workshop called the “shoebox project” in which the children created an environment or room that they have a special connection with or believed to be important and a part of them inside a shoebox. Within this space it was entirely open to their desires and imagination and they created their own narrative within the imagery of the box.

The boxes were stacked to create an illusion of panning from one room to the next as if on the outside of a building looking in. The end result was be a masterpiece of interconnected worlds, going from children’s playroom into the sea and in and out of the beehive coves.
